Training:
You and one of your management employees, or two managers if you elect to not work in the restaurant full time, will participate in an initial training course in Columbus, Ohio of approximately 3 weeks, based on experience and other factors. This course provides classroom and on-the-job training in all aspects of the business, including product preparation, management, human resources, cashier training, loss prevention, and operating procedures.

Opening your restaurant:
Representatives from Mama Mimi's Franchise, Inc. will assist you in opening your business for 2 to 3 days immediately before and 1 to 2 weeks following your opening date; or, if in our opinion you require additional assistance, we may remain for a longer period.

Location:
Although you will be responsible for signing and assuming the liability of any lease you enter into, we will assist you in evaluating the proposed location in your market, and negotiating the lease.

Mama Mimi's Take N' Bake Pizza® restaurants are usually constructed in strip shopping centers. The ideal size of the retail space is 1,000 square feet in area, preferably measuring 20" x 50', positioned as an end-cap to a strip shopping center, with excellent visibility to passing traffic. Mama Mimi's Take N' Bake Pizza® restaurants offer no dine-in seating, thereby reducing parking demands, restroom facilities and equipment costs. The ideal location should offer easy access and egress, and be positioned on the "going home side" of the traffic patterns generated by the nearby businesses.

Constructing your restaurant:
Our experience in developing and opening both Company and Franchised Restaurants since 2000 enable us to provide you with design criteria and equipment specifications to ensure an efficient operation of your Mama Mimi's Take N' Bake Pizza® restaurant. We provide you with all the necessary Mama Mimi's Take N' Bake Pizza® design elements incorporated into an equipment floor plan, with mechanical, electrical and plumbing design specifications.

We will assist you in the process of evaluating and selecting both an architect and a General Contractor, in addition to providing you with system-experienced vendors for all of the specified equipment used in Mama Mimi's Take N' Bake Pizza® restaurants.

Advertising:
Building recognition of the Mama Mimi's Take N' Bake Pizza® name and reputation is an important part of the business. You will spend approximately $2,500 on Grand Opening advertising prior to the second month of operation. Mama Mimi's Franchise, Inc. will assist in guiding you through this process in order to attain the most effective results during this Grand Opening period. You will also spend 2% of Adjusted Gross Sales, each month on local advertising and promotions, which includes newspaper advertising, direct mail, coupons, or promotional items through other media. Additionally, you will contribute 0.5% of gross sales to an Advertising & Production Fund, which is administered separately.
